Folks,
DVCS systems do seem to be in the air. For interest:

The Emacs tree is going to be moving from CVS to bzr, and there's a
mention of the relevant Python PEP on the emacs-devel list [1] (why am
I on that list, I wonder?). That message points to a discussion
document for the Python transition, which evaluates svn, bzr, git and
hg for a number of scenarios.
Glancing through that document, it reinforced my initial impression
about the contrast between hg and git, in the sense that git seems
more flexible, but in ways I probably don't want to know about. There
was some comedy value in the 'initial setup' section, which starts
with the reassuring statement 'none needed', followed by a page of
densely commented suggestions.
See you,
Norman
