That works, too! This does reemphasise that there is no shortage of
_technical_ solutions to the problem.
I've always felt that, as some sort of layering violation, HTML
redirects were rather icky, but that doesn't mean they don't work.
The other argument against a DNS solution is that it misses JACH's
'branding'. But that prompts the larger question of how Starlink
ought to be 'branded'. The association with STFC has possibly
disappeared; there may be some milage in pushing Starlink as a
delocalised software project (but there's probably too little
community momentum for that); there's probably currently more sense,
and more justice, in prominently binding it to JACH with
starlink.jach.hawaii.edu.
I don't have an opinion here, since I have now, unfortunately, no more
than a sentimental stake in the outcome.
