Communications and Marketing Manager

Grade 8: £36,532 - 43,622 (with discretionary range to £47,666) per annum

Applications are invited from experienced and effective communications
managers, ideally with experience in a higher education/academic
environment, for the full-time post of Communications and Marketing
Manager. You will be able to engage in a wide range of activities in
the areas of internal and external communication; PR; marketing,
including the creation and delivery of a marketing strategic plan for
the Department; market research; events; publicity; public relations
and other outreach activities.
It is expected that you will be a graduate, or equivalent, with a
minimum of five years' relevant experience in communications,
marketing and PR. Knowledge of the work of a higher education
institution is desirable, and you will possess excellent written and
verbal communication skills. You will be expected to use their
initiative on a regular basis and must have sound judgement and the
ability to manage changing priorities. The successful candidate is
likely to have experience in: developing, implementing and monitoring
marketing plans; mixed-media marketing campaigns; the development of
marketing strategies to meet organisational objectives; and managing
budgets for marketing activities.
