BFI Southbank is hosting a season of live television drama screenings and
events in February 2009 which may be of interest to colleagues (and their
students).
Highlights of the season include:
A screening of the live episode of The Bill from 2000 followed by a panel
discussion and live Z Cars clips: 6th February 2045 NFT1
The Quatermass Experiment BBC 1953 live version & 2005 live version (plus
Q&A with 2005 director and producers): 10th Feb NFT2 (1800 and 2000
respectively).
Is Live The Future of the Single Play? A screening of Harold Pinter's A Night
Out broadcast live in 1960 followed by a panel discussion including Philip
Saville, Suzannah York and Billie Whitelaw (tbc): 12th Feb 2030 NFT3.
Comedy: Best Live? A screening of the live transmission of Two Pints Of Lager
and a Packet of Crisps, BBC 2008, followed by a panel discussion with Will
Mellor (actor) and Graham Duff (actor/writer & producer). 25th Feb 2045 NFT1
