The School of Performance and Screen Studies at Kingston University is
seeking to appoint a Professor of Film.
At postgraduate level there is an MA in Film Studies and the recent and
successful innovation MA filmmaking. The two fields of Film Studies and
Television currently deliver vibrant undergraduate programmes which include a
single honours degree in Film and a joint honours degree in Television and New
Broadcasting Media.
The successful applicant will have a reputation of international excellence in
both research and publication/practice in Film. You will be expected to provide
research leadership in Film and Television and develop the subject area’s
research culture, helping to give it a particular identity, whilst continuing to
enhance your own research profile, attracting income and contributing to
teaching.
Applicants should be available to take up the post as soon as possible, but
certainly by September 2009.
