Dear All
Someone raised this issue a few months ago, but I can't find the email.
What are we to do about it? And are many other publishers to take this
approach? I currently have one IP address for the library, and a range
for the rest of the organisation, plus a couple of 'floating'ones. At
the very least I would need one extra subscription to cover the library
and most of the organisation, though that would still not cover
everything. Are they serious???

Dear Customer,
We wrote to you on October 13, 2008 informing you of some changes to the
online access associated with your print subscription. As mentioned,
your 2009 subscription will include one dedicated IP address (proxy
servers, wildcards, or ranges are not permitted) per journal. Currently,
you have more than one IP address listed under your account. To ensure
that you continue to receive online access, we ask that you complete the
following steps so that we can be sure we have the correct information.
1. Please go to www.JAIPupdate.com
2. Enter your administrator user name and password. If you have
forgotten your administrator user name and/or password, please visit
www.JAforgotusername.com.
3. Delete the contents of the box containing your current IP
addresses and click "Save"
4. Enter one dedicated IP address in the box (wildcards, proxy
servers, or ranges are not permitted)
5. Click "Save" when finished
Your new IP address must be entered by April 6, 2009. If you need
additional assistance with the above, please contact us at
[log in to unmask] or 1-800-262-2350.
**Note: if you have a site license in addition to your print
subscription, your access will not be affected.**
If you have any questions about this change, or if you would like to
discuss options for opening up access to JAMA & Archives Journals
content to multiple users, please contact your sales representative or
e-mail us at [log in to unmask]
Best regards,
Vida Damijonaitis
