Other problems with anecdote-based medicine notwithstanding, a
substantial and remediable one is the absence of an actual anecdote base.
I propose that those wishing to practice and promulgate anecdote-based
medicine should participate in setting up and filling a database of
anecdotes.
I remember that once, having a searchable collection of stories was very
helpful in solving a particular problem, the details of which I forget
at the moment, so it is clearly the right thing to do.
There is a possibility that by accumulation of comments, dates, numbers
and similar fluff, links and exactnesses that it might metamorphose into
some base that contains evidence, but one muct simply live with this risk.
I'm not joking here, it shoud be done.
