If they are not accredited they would need to prove compliance with BS
EN ISO/IEC 17025 and the ISO 9000 family and show that their results are
reproducible. This will give a robustness to the data and show that it
is reliable and
Though if they can do that I can't see why they aren't accredited

Gday everybody,
Have recently taken up a post with a LA in Scotland and am still coming
up to
speed with everything, so please forgive such a naive question.
Is there any guidance (statutory or not) stating that a lab used during
a SI
must be suitably accredited, e.g. UKAS? I have checked 10175 and 5930
with
no result, perhaps somebody could guide me in the right direction.
