A week of events and workshops, mostly free, hosted by Research Institute
for Cosmopolitan Cultures (RICC), University of Manchester has been
announced. Speakers include David Harvey (author The Condition of
Postmodernity); Irene Khan (Secretary General Amnesty International), Don
Flynn (Director Migrants Rights), Jacqueline Rose (author The Question of
Zion), Tariq Ramadan (www.tariqramadan.com), Jackie Kay (writer/poet), Joe
Pemberton (author Long Time Dead), Gary Younge (The Guardian); preview film
screening of Jia Zhanque's "24 Hour City", Site Specific Ruinous
Recollections Art Exhibition and many other events.
