Dear all,
can you recommend a text on methods for life tables that has been written
for someone who is more familiar with "statistical" survival analysis rather
than actuarial methods? More precisely, I am interested in quantifying the
impact of different causes of death on differences in life expectancy
between two cohorts. Specifically, hints on the method by Pollard (1982),
Journal of the Institute of Actuaries, would be most welcome.
With kind regards
Juergen Wellmann
