>Do you know if Oliver Wethered was related to the Wethered's who mined coal in the Bristol Region?
Sorry, I do not know that David. I see that in Bristol, Wethereds were involved with the Cossham's in Kingswood Works, Parkfield and Speedwell.
With his brother, Walter, Oliver Wethered was active in Northern Nigeria. Oliver was the chairman of Rayfield (Nigeria) Tin Fields in 1924 - it had mines on the Bauchi plateau. Rayfield (Cornwall) Tin Syndicate Ltd (presumably they were linked) had Bassett & Grylls, North Dolcoath and Rosevale mines in Cornwall.
As Bernard says he was at Dolcoath, and many of the other large Cornish Mines - e.g. Wethered's Shaft at Geevor.
