Hello
Can I make a very simple point to the list manager and hopefully to all. If discussion on this list that is expressed in an honest and open way leads to uninvited telephone calls to express concerns or other action that might be intimidatory and intrusive, I intend to:
1. Formalise a complaint to the list manager to issue clear guidance as to conduct.
2. Approach the jiscmail authorities if this list cannot exercise restraint for its termination.
This is an e-mail list and communication should remain on this unless explicitly directed to telephone conversation. What I read below is simply inappropriate and arguably intimidatory. I will not, under these circumstances. make any comment on the substantive issue, but I do not want to see the goodwill of many on this list be undermined by harassment,
I'd appreciate an early expression of opinion by the list manager.
My signature appears below, I do not expect it to be used in any unwanted communication.

Just tried to ring you at the University of Sheffield to express concerns and views on 'assistive-suicide' on behalf of the Disabled Peoples' Direct Action Network (DAN) .
No one in your office answered the phone and it just rang and rang.
