I'm beginning to wonder if, in addition to our cataloger, etc.,
scenarios we won't also need AP scenarios? Here's how I get there:
Looking at the DSP, we have the following structure:
DSP overall - a wrapper
Description templates: a unit that contains the statements for a
single entity, e.g. "book"
Statement templates: a unit that contains property information,
with statements for each property that describe the entity
It seems to me that in the same way that we expect there to be re-use
of properties from other vocabularies in the statement templates, we
can anticipate that there will be description templates that one would
want to re-use. The most obvious of these are the ones that will
define the entities of FRBR and FRAD.
I can imagine a scenario where someone is interested in re-using the
FRBR "manifestation" entity description, but with some modifications.
First, that entity description template needs to have a URI. Next,
there needs to be a way to re-use a description but not to use every
statement, or to modify some particulars of the statements (especially
constraints).
Does this make sense? Can we make it work?
