Dear Colleagues and students,
We are pleased to invite you to the last Director's Cut event of 2008,
featuring the award-winning director, Jane Treays, this Tuesday 9th December
at 6pm in the King's College Conference Centre at the University of
Aberdeen. Her latest films broadcast on Channel 4 this autumn, Virgin
Daughters (2008) and Mum, Heroin and Me (2008), attracted widespread media
interest and controversy.
Read up on Jane's background and see clips from her work on the Director's
Cut website and reserve your place as the last seats are going quickly at:
http://www.abdn.ac.uk/directorscut/profiles/treays/
The event will include a Q and A with the director about some of the
contentious themes she tackles, followed by a special reception of mince
pies and wine hosted by Scottish Screen.
Previous Director's Cut events can be viewed on-line, including the session
with Sir David Attenborough held in June 2008:

best regards,
Alan Marcus
