Only in that I told myself off! I love the discussions of where this

Heaps! But as you said, it's mostly art museums.
Museums are getting good at explaining why flashes can't be used in some
exhibitions, but when photos can't be taken for copyright reasons it's
usually not explained.
Explanations of our seemingly arbitrary rules seem to help the visitor -
I have a feeling they're much more likely to comply when they know why
photography is restricted.
