Hi Ian,
Don't know if this counts as a development but here goes.
One "development" this year has been the Assistive Technology Vocational
Education and Training (ATVET) Project. www.atvet.eu
Hereward and HFT have been working with a number of European Partners to
create a transferrable qualification for those working with assistive
technology at care and support worker level across all sectors.
This stems from the work around the City and Guilds AT qualifications and
hopefully will help up skill a vast raft of the workforce across the EU who,
in answer to the impending change in demographics and needs of the
population encounter AT on an increasing basis.
Cheers
Paul
