Graduate Research Seminar on Molecular Energy Transfer

We would like to bring to your attention the program for the upcoming
Molecular Energy Transfer Graduate Research Seminar in Ventura, California,
taking place on January 17-18, 2009.

encourage participation by graduate students, post docs and junior
faculty/scientists. 

Immediately following the Graduate Research Seminar on January 18-23 is the
Gordon Research Conference on Molecular Energy Transfer. You are encouraged
to apply to attend both, but will need to apply to each meeting separately.

Participation is sought across the community, including university,
military, civil agency, and industrial persons. Women and minorities are
encouraged to apply. The conference site is accessible for people with
disabilities. Thanks to support from GRC, Department of Energy (Office of
Basic Energy Sciences), Berkeley Nucleonics, Del Mar Photonics, The European
Physical Journal, Q-Chem, Molecular Physics/Taylor & Francis Group, PCCP
Journal, funds are available (terms and conditions apply) to support: 

a) underrepresented minority participants from the US at their first GRC, 
b) graduate students and post-docs of non-US nationality who are currently
working/studying outside the US and in a demographic region which is
considered underrepresented in the field of Molecular Energy Transfer. 
c) Research-active scientists from predominantly undergraduate institutions. 
d) Research scientist working in Eastern Europe/Former Soviet Union.
