I am interested to know objectively the normal position of the scapula at rest.
The articles that I have encountered states that the lateral border of the
scapula is parallel to the spine while the glenoid fossa is facing upward and
forward. This is pretty vague to me. Is there any measurement or key points
that I can use during my assessment to ascertain that the scapula is actually
sitting at the right position?
Any information provided will be of value for the rehabilitation of shoulder in
stroke cases...
