Full time, open ended appointment
A vacancy has arisen for a Deputy Librarian, based at the Joint Moorfields
Eye Hospital and the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology Library, which is part
of UCL Library Services, a large, multi-site academic library service in
central London.
You will be responsible for ensuring the provision of high quality
information services to scientists, doctors, nurses, students and other
staff of the Institute and the Hospital using the Library. In particular,
you will be responsible for the co-ordination of information services
delivery and share responsibility for developing and providing inductions
and information skills training to Library users.
You will have a first degree (or equivalent) and a recognised qualification
in librarianship or information science. Together with proven experience of
working in a library or information service environment and experience of
delivering literature search training, in particular using Medline (Pubmed),
CINAHL, Embase and the National Library for Health resources.
