Information Skills Trainer & Outreach Librarian - Newcomb Library
Band 6 pro rata to £28,924-£38,591 pa.inc
30 hours per week
We are looking for an enthusiastic Information Skills Trainer to lead on the development and evaluation of a comprehensive information skills training programme which will support and encourage evidence based healthcare and clinical governance by those eligible to use the Newcomb Library and Information Service. The library provides a service to all students and staff based at the Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as well as mental health and primary care staff and students.
You will have a degree or equivalent in librarianship or information science and previous experience in a healthcare setting. You will also have expertise in using electronic information resources including healthcare databases.
You will have excellent interpersonal, training and ICT skills, be able to work under pressure, be a good team player and able to work independently as required and have the ability to work with users with a wide range of needs, expectations and skill levels.
