Research Liaison Manager (Grade 8)
Salary in the range: £36,532 - £43,622
We are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic information
professional with demonstrable experience of providing effective support for
researchers in a Higher Education library.
Reporting to the Head of Research Services and Special Collections, you will
be responsible for delivering information, resources and advice in support
of the University’s research activities.
Key Responsibilities:
*To identify and initiate strategic priorities for library support for research.
*To provide leadership, motivation and direction to the Library’s Research
Liaison Team to ensure a consistently excellent service.
Applicants will have an impressive record of bringing innovation and flair
to the provision of high quality research support. They will be responsible
for the leadership, management and welfare of a small team of clerical
staff, and work closely with colleagues in the Technical Services Division
and the Learning and Teaching Support sections of the Library on both
development of services and the delivery of online resources.
It is essential you have a degree or equivalent qualification, substantial
recent experience of working in a similar or transferable role, an
understanding of issues affecting Higher Education, experience of managing
and leading staff and projects and excellent communication and presentation
skills.
