Hello,

When I first saw this subject heading, I assumed "physical evidence"
referred to something solid - a piece of library realia perhaps. A report is
not physical evidence: it is information and can therefore be manipulated.

Ask yourself what you want the report to represent in your portfolio. If it
is simply in there as evidence that you can write a report, you surely only
need to include a couple of sample pages. On the other hand, if the
*content* of the report is the evidence (e.g. an example of reflective
writing or an evaluation of service performance) then it is probably best to
take excerpts and to present it as such.

I am not yet chartered (I'm aiming to submit by the end of the year) so I
can't claim to be an authority on this, but these are my methods of dealing
with long reports.

    Yes I have a similar dilemma - do I include for example the whole report
I did analysing the statistics from a library survey - and if not how much
do I put in. Just the odd page would be meaningless by itself and if I just
put in the front cover I might as well have not done the whole report in the
first place!
