Upcoming Event:
Dr. Bonnie Catto will be giving a webinar on Lucretius on November 6, 3-5PM Eastern. I sat in on the lecture this summer and thoroughly enjoyed it. There is not a lot of Latin in it (his Latin can be intimidating), but instead the session serves more as an insight into Lucretius as a person, scientist, and philosopher, places him in his historical context, and talks about how his ideas were received by his audience. It's really a great talk, and you don't have to struggle with his difficult Latin.
