Apologies that should have read "...small but good quality public area...."

Sounds good to me. However, it might be useful to provide a slam but good
quality public area to advertise it's wares (high-end of the public consumer
spectrum, of course).....CSRG has too long been a bit of a "secret society".

Subject: Proposal for CSRJ web Portal
Hello Folks
Following a series of discussions after the Success of the September
CSRG symposium at UWE, and taking on board the comments made re the
launch of an academic journal, I have managed to put together a proposal
for a permanent web portal for CSRG outlined as below, setup costs to be
sponsored by the CT&CT and hosted by the University of Chester. Both
parties have agreed in principle to this depending on the will and
support of CSRG list members
This would enable us to have a place to share ideas, disseminate work
in progress and to host working papers on a permanent and central
location.
I would be grateful for indications of support or voices of disapproval
from CSRG list members before we move any further forward on this.
Proposal
To establish a web-based electronic forum for the collation and
dissemination of academic research on cycling from a social science
perspective
Outline
● Portal with appropriate domain name e.g. cycling and society
● Web forum for online discussion by registered participants of
current and existing research work
● Pages for listing of existing academic research published in the
wider academic community
● Space to publish peer-reviewed occasional papers (ongoing)
● Space to host non-peer-reviewed academic work e.g. conference
papers, presentations
These resources should be made available to researchers from all
disciplines
