Are you looking to make creative use of your degree in statistics or a related discipline? Would you like a great opportunity to develop and broaden your knowledge, skills and experience working within one of the largest and most successful niche Statistics and Data Management CROs in Europe?

An opportunity has arisen in our statistics department, and we are looking for a senior statistician with a good track record in clinical biostatistics who is able to manage the statistical aspects of multiple projects across all phases of clinical development.

You should have a relevant post graduate qualification with a solid background in theoretical and applied statistics, as well as several years' experience of medical statistics gained in the pharmaceutical industry or in a CRO. As a Senior Statistician, you should be used to working in a regulated environment, and have a solid understanding of regulatory requirements and guidelines related to clinical trials. A good working knowledge of SASŪ is essential; knowledge of other statistical packages would be an advantage. Since we expect a high degree of interaction, both internally with multi-disciplinary teams and externally with our clients', excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.

As a key member of our team, you will have full responsibility for the statistical aspects of projects including planning, analysis and reporting of clinical trials. Working with the project manager, our Senior Statistician will ensure the timely completion of projects, to high quality standards and within budget.

The position is located in our UK office in East Anglia, which provides a most attractive semi-rural lifestyle. While attendance at the offices is expected, provision can be made for occasional home working. The compensation package is highly competitive, indicating the importance we place on this Senior Statistician position. As a senior member of a highly motivated team, you will have opportunities to develop your own skill set, and make a real contribution to the development of our statistics department.

At Syne qua non we aim to continuously improve the service provided to our clients. In order to maintain a cutting-edge service, we recognise the importance of continually developing the skills of all our staff.

For an informal discussion, please contact Axel Krebs-Brown, Manager of Statistics on +44 (0) 1379 644449
