Dunno. I guess they are using it outside its specifically Siberian meaning.
I find that the term "shamanism" is used to describe much extra-Siberian
ecstatic 'religious' experience. But what I find weird is when people use
"shamen" (sha - men), as the plural of "shaman", I'm sure that's not right!
