The Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences in
Leipzig, Germany, invites applications for a 3 year
Senior Scientific Support position.
The Max Planck Institute offers a friendly and generous environment as
well as excellent infrastructure, including two 3T and one 7T MRTs, and
EEG, MEG, TMS, and NIRS laboratories. It brings together a large number
of researchers with diverse backgrounds, united by their interest in the
human brain and the methods for its exploration.
We wish to appoint an experienced scientist with interdisciplinary
interests and expertise in neuroscientific research. The post holder is
expected to pursue individual research interests as well as provide
support to other research staff at the Institute, with a main focus on
imaging techniques and statistics.
The successful candidate holds a PhD in cognitive neuroscience, computer
science, psychology, or any related field. Good communication,
team-working and teaching skills are essential. Applicants should have
expertise in the design and analysis of fMRI studies, encompassing both
standard approaches as well as explorative data analysis techniques
(e.g. multivariate pattern analysis). Knowledge in computational
neuroscience and programming experience would be of further advantage.

will follow the guidelines set for staff members of the Max Planck
