Smith School of Enterprise and The Environment
Grade 7: Salary £27,466 - £33,780 with a discretionary range to £36,912 p.a.
The new Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment in the Social
Sciences Division of the University of Oxford is aimed at pioneering
ways for private enterprise, government and academics to work towards
solutions to the environmental issues of the 21st Century. The
School's Director is Professor Sir David King.
We aim to recruit a Communications Officer to manage all aspects of
the School's public relations, working with the national and
international press and liaising with the University's Press Office.
The successful applicant will have excellent written and oral
communication skills, good research skills, a good appreciation of
current environmental issues and will ideally also have previous
experience of dealing with national and international media. The
postholder will be responsible for all media relations for the Smith
School, dealing with press enquiries on a daily basis, maintaining the
School's website, and creating news releases and communications
strategies.
