Thanks for that Nick,
As you know I have apologised off-list for the inadvertent use of
the the 'Spectrum expression'. Others may not be aware of its more formal
use, as indeed I wasn't. In the case of Past Perfect we chose from an
internet published MDA (before it stopped using its proper name and became
mda) website around 10 years ago and the software was subsequently
Anglicised to give a switchable US/UK program.
An attempt was made with MDA to get a full assessment of its
compliance then but time was not available but we were given an assurance
that it looked pretty good and went ahead at that stage. Since then others
in this country have gone the PP route. I hope however it may yet be
possible for the Collections Trust to give it the proper works. It has of
course developed a lot since then and has a good Internet Virtual Catalogue
capability which was the original subject of this electronic debate.
Demo discs remain available! Off-List communication of course!
Past Perfect themselves are not on the list but they will very soon have an
idea of what is required...
                                                        Regards,
                                                                        David
Lingard
