Yes N3 does work on most acquisition types given that its primary goal
is to sharpen the histogram, so if your image has a few distinct
classes of intensity then things should be good. Of course it works
"best" on T1 but this is more than likely as it is on this sequence
type that it has been used (and thus optimised) the most.
Mind you i would be interested to know what version of N3 freesurfer
is using these days, there was a number of bug fixes in the latest
release (even though it was last released almost 2 years ago! :)
