which campaigns for the rights of black and Asian personnel serving in
London Metropolitan police service. Its website provides information on
the aims, history, membership and current activities of the body. It
includes free access to press releases and statements some of which

in the Metropolitan Police Service.

This Flickr photostream website is maintained by 10 Downing Street. it
provides free access to images of the British Prime Minister, Gordon
Brown from 2007 onwards. These include photographs of foreign visits,
official engagements and summits which the Prime Minister attended. The
site can be browsed or searched by date. Users should note that as they
are 'official photographs' they are intended to promote a positive image
of the Prime minister and Labour Party. Copyright information is
displayed on the website.

Google Audio Indexing

Google Audio Indexing is a beta test search engine from Google that aims
to enable users to quickly find and access audio materials available via
the Youtube political channels. It uses speech technology to search for
spoken words inside videos and then jumps to the section of the the
video where the words are spoken. It was launched during the 2008
American presidential elections. Although it is intended that it will
eventual provide access to other political speech materials. Copyright

Yearbook of the United Nations collection

The Yearbook is an authoritative reference book on the work of the
United Nations covering all areas of its responsibility, ranging from
politics and international security to international trade,
decolonization, human rights and international law. Each Yearbook lists
all major General Assembly, Security Council and Economic and Social
Council resolutions. It also contains information on major UN decisions,
lists of key personnel and appointments, details of budgets and key UN
reforms. The Yearbook collection website currently allows cross
searching of all volumes form 1946-2005 enabling trends in UN history to
be traced.

The United Nations Treaty Collection provides free access to a wealth of
information about international treaties covering a wide range of
subject areas including international human rights, international law,
international security, human rights, refugees. It can be used to
download full text treaties and check for the latest information on
whether certain treaties are in force. Contents of the site include the
full text of the United Nations Treaty Series(A collection of treaties
and international agreements registered or filed and recorded with and
published by the Secretariat since 1946); League of Nations Treaty
Series (5 July 1920 - 3 October 1944); Status of Multilateral Treaties
Deposited with the Secretary-General; Monthly Statements of treaties and
International Agreements; Notes verbales from The Legal Counsel relating
to the depositary practice and the registration of treaties pursuant to
Article 102 of the Charter. Other features of the site include
photographs of the signing of treaties and news events and conferences
relating to treaties.

An increasing number of Universities and Higher education institutions
are now offering free lectures and podcasts. This is the official
directory of Oxford University materials available from the on the Apple
iTunes store. It contains a catalogue of the online lectures which cover
a range of different social science, humanities and scientific subjects.
They include recordings from research projects such as the Oxford
Internet Institute and Forced Migration Research Institute as well as
academic departments. Technical and copyright information is displayed
ion the website. Most materials can be used free of charge subject to
copyright conditions. Users without access to Itunes can download many
of the materials from the Oxford University podcasts site which is also
listed on the page.

University, Toronto Canada. It specialises in conducting research into
the cultural impact of digital technology. Key issues include social

The site provides information about the aims of the body and its work.
It includes access to press releases, papers, articles and reports.
These include materials on the impact of the Internet upon Canadian
politics and elections since approximately 2006. Coverage of the 2008
Canadian elections included fascinating mappings of the blogosphere,
blogometers measuring the nature and extent of political blogging,
measurements of use of YouTube videos, twitter discussions and other web
2.0 social networking tools.

Next America is a project of the Center for Strategic and International
Studies (CSIS). During 2008 it sought to engage young educated Americans
in debate about future directions for American foreign policy. The
website provides information on the aims and methods of the project. It
also includes access to some of the debates which comprise online
discussion messsages and video comments. They provide interesting
insight into the opinions of young Americans towards the image of the
USA, its role in world affairs and future direction for US foreign
