medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
This I looked into a while back. Gloves like the cotton ones
traditionally used in conservation (I am a metals conservator) are
abrasive. Other gloves might not be. Hand chemistry is not as harmful to
books as to other things but suggestion is to mimise anything not
necessary reaching the book.
Yes you can use up any finite resource however, when you copy and
preserve it may last longer providing you keep backing up deteriorating
electronic forms....
so find the right gloves....
