Academic Grade 2 (Lecturer A): £28,997 to £34,624 per annum (pay award pending)
Academic Grade 3 (Lecturer B): £36,754 to £42,583 per annum (pay award pending)
The School of Political, Social and International Studies wishes to
appoint a full-time, indefinite Lecturer in Media and Politics. We are
looking for someone who can provide research-led teaching on the
relationship between media and politics. We would welcome applications
from experts in any aspect of the field, but especially from those
with an interest in media and cultural policy. The post will help
develop the School's distinctive interdisciplinary research on media,
culture and policy. The successful candidate will be expected to
contribute to our undergraduate and postgraduate courses in media and
our new MA in international public policy.
The post will be at Academic Grade 2 or 3 depending on ability and
achievements. The successful candidate will have an excellent record
of research, an active research agenda and will add to the School's
research profile. She/he will be expected to provide high quality
teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and to supervise
research students. The earliest start date for the post is 1 January
2009.
