Marketing Communications Manager

£33,780 - £41,545 per annum
Salary can progress to £48,161 per annum, subject to performance

Applications are invited for a Marketing Communications Manager to
join a growing team in the Development Office based at the King's
Meadow Campus, Nottingham. A highly motivated team player is required
to develop and implement a new marketing and communications strategy
for the Development Office. The person appointed will deliver a broad
range of communications supporting and promoting the key functions of
the Development Office with particular reference to alumni relations
and fundraising to both the external and internal communities. This
role is critical to the success of the University in engaging with
alumni, fundraising prospects and internal staff/students.
The role will include:
1.
providing leadership in the creation, implementation,
co-ordination and review of communication strategies and activities
2.
production of a wide range of printed materials such as
magazines, brochures and newsletters for internal and external
audiences to a common brand identity
3.
development and content management of the two web sites and
production of all electronic media such as e-newsletters/e-bulletins
for internal and external audiences
4.
supporting the Associate Development Director with management
and leadership within the Office. The person appointed will have one
direct report.
Candidates should be educated to degree level (or equivalent), or hold
a relevant professional qualification and must also have the relevant
professional experience in journalism and/or marketing. They must be
able to demonstrate experience in the design and production of
communication and marketing literature in both electronic and printed
formats, possess proven project management and leadership skills,
excellent writing skills and meticulous attention to detail. In
addition, candidates should have excellent word processing and IT
skills (in particular MS Word and Excel) and ideally experience of
content management systems.
