italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies
Dear italian-studies colleagues,
George Ferzoco has been working to find ways to minimize the number
of messages sent to the list in error, and to reduce further the
possibility of spam being sent to us via the list. He and I are
establishing a new, very simple, procedure that is now in effect.
From now on, when you send a message to the list, you will receive a
message like this:
***
For security reasons, the ITALIAN-STUDIES list has been configured
to request
positive confirmation of messages posted to the list. You must now
confirm that
the enclosed message did originate from you. To do so, simply
reply to the
present message and type "OK" (without the quotes) in the text of
your message,
or click on the link below. If this does not work, or if the
message did NOT
originate from you, then contact the list owner for assistance.
To APPROVE the message:

***
We hope you will find this easy to use, and effective -- and, of
course, that it will help the list serve you better.
Best wishes,
K.R.
