ICRCL 23/79 (Second Edition November 1983) "Notes on the redevelopment of
sewage works and farms"
may be of some help.
I think it is available on the CLARINET web site. Otherwise I could send you
a copy.
Just because its old doesn't mean that it isn't useful. It was prepared by
Martin Beckett who succeeded me as Secretary of ICRCL and who had worked on
a sewage works.

Mike Smith

Subject: Sewage sludge spread on allotments
We are potentially transfering ownership of part of an allotment directly
adjacent to and potentially historically part of a former sewage treatment
works. I've been asked to advise re potential contamination issues specific
to
the sewage works (waste spreading etc). I've highlighted potential elevated
concentrations of heavy metals but would like to be able to refer to
specific
research / guidance and I can't seem to find any.
Anyone got anything I can use?
