Apologies for cross-posting but these may be of interest.
Research Opportunities in the Third Sector Research Centre
at Birmingham and Southampton
The Third Sector Research Centre (TSRC) has been established since 1
September 2008 with funding from the Economic and Social Research Council
(ESRC), Office of the Third Sector (OTS) and Barrow Cadbury Trust. It is a
new national resource for research on the third sector in the UK, based on a
joint venture between the University of Birmingham and the University of
Southampton. The Centre is led by the Director Professor Pete Alcock at
Birmingham, and the Deputy Director Professor John Mohan at Southampton.
We are now seeking to recruit to a range of new research posts in the two
institutions. Funding for the Centre is for five years initially; research
staff at Birmingham will be appointed on open contracts, staff at
Southampton on five year contracts initially. You will join established
staff at both universities to form a team of researchers working to deliver
the programmes of research being established in the Centre. There are
complementary strengths across the two institutions with qualitative and
policy research based primarily at Birmingham and quantitative analysis
based primarily at Southampton.
All posts are available from 1 December 2008 or as soon as possible
thereafter.
