The Executive Committee of ASMI is seeking nominations for two new members:
1/ Graduate Representative
2/ ASMI Development Officer
1/Graduate Representative ASMI is keen to develop initiatives aimed at
graduates in all fields of Italian studies. The Graduate Representative
will be in charge of formulating and promoting such initiatives. These
might include, for example, developing and maintaining a dedicated Graduate
area on the new Members Website and running (or encouraging other graduate
students to run) graduate workshops, conferences and/or study days. S/he
would also represent graduate issues and interests at Executive Committee
meetings (three times yearly). The post is open to current graduate
students in a UK University, in their first or second year of research (the
post lapses at the completion of graduate study).
2/ASMI Development Officer The Development Officer will be in charge of
promoting and developing membership of ASMI. His/her task will be to
monitor membership trends, to devise and implement new ways of publicising
the Association, and to target potential new members. The post is open to
any current ASMI member.
Members of ASMI are invited to put forward nominations for the two posts
above. Nominations (with one proposer and one seconder) should be sent to
the ASMI Secretary, Paola Filippucci ([log in to unmask]) as soon as possible.
A vote will take place at the Association's AGM in Edinburgh on 21
November. Members who are not able to attend the AGM in person can still
stand for election by contacting Paola. Please also contact Paola if you
need further information about either post.
