The Biomedical Engineering Program at IST involves a cooperation protocol
with the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon and the Institute
of Molecular Medicine, as well as with Siemens Medical Solutions. One line
of research is focused on the application of imaging techniques towards the
quantification and understanding of brain function. Applicants should hold a
PhD, post-doctoral research experience and a strong publication record in a
relevant scientific area. The successful candidate will conduct independent
research, with an initial appointment for 3 years renewable for another 2
years upon mutual agreement (salary ~ 43.000 K Euros). IST is an equal
