Hi everyone
I would like to gather some information from you concerning the use of SMS
for library notices. I am looking at rolling it out as an opt-in service, and
potentially using it as a referral notice, e.g. "You have a book ready for
collection. Please log on to your library account at..." or "One of your loans is
about to become overdue. Please log on to your library account at...or visit
the library to renew it".
Can I ask if / how other libraries are using it, and whether you are now using it
for all library notices (covering recall, reservations and overdues), or whether
you have opted to use it for only certain aspects, or just news - e.g. changes
to opening hours.
