There are one or two perry producers locally, whose names I will try to learn - I have tended to avoid strong drink for a while!
Stewart Peachey probably is the one who has appeared on the radio and tv. He was a technical advisor and participant on the Green Valley series which might have been absolutely amazing if all fo the other participants had been as appropriate, and if the whole thing had not been 'popularised'.
Seems a pity that we can't get a good 'living in the past' programme with people who come into it both suitably competent and with the right mindset to try to understand the processes and knowledge of our forebears. I appreciate that it is probably not easy to find such people, but it would or could be an enlightening experience for us to really test practical archaeology.
