Applications are invited for the post of Superintendent of the
Manuscripts Reading Room at Cambridge University Library.
The post holder is responsible for supervising the operations of the
Manuscripts Reading Room: ensuring the security of material consulted,
answering enquiries on the contents of, access to and reprography of
material, and supervising and training junior reading room staff.
Applicants should have experience of working in an academic library, a
demonstrable interest in manuscripts and archives, the ability to
understand bibliographic and manuscript information and impart it to
others, and skills to develop and deliver a programme of work for junior
colleagues. A degree, preferably in an Arts subject, is desirable.
