This is to announce a combined Conference and Summer School on Transport
and Urban Economics that will take place at the Technical University of
Denmark, Denmark, on June 29th - July 1st (summer school) and July 2nd and
3rd (conference), both in 2009. Full details can be found on the following web

In brief, the summer school is aimed at an audience of MSc and PhD students
in transport and/or urban economics, as well as practitioners, researchers and
policy makers who are looking for an update on the latest developments in
academic research in these fields. It will cover the following themes at a
graduate level:
Modelling urban transport demand, supply, and equilibrium
Discrete choice analysis
Equilibrium, first-best and second-best regulation in urban transport
Congestion, transport pricing and capacity choice
Road pricing and urban structure
Pricing and investment in aviation
Transport and agglomeration
Valuation of intangibles: time, unreliability and schedule delay
Politics of pricing

Public-private partnerships and industrial organization of transport markets
Discrete choice modelling
Urban structure
Agglomeration
Theoretical, applied and policy-oriented papers on the above-mentioned
topics, and on other topics in urban transport, are invited.
Participants may choose to attend only the summer school, only the
conference, or both.
