Conference Objectives
The conference will inform transport professionals of the current
position within climate change and how it is currently affecting
Highways and Transportation, and how these effects will change in time.
It will report on the latest thinking on how to deal with these impacts
and assess how key actors in the UK and overseas are responding. The
conference will also consider the rising pressure to reduce carbon
emissions from both operations and construction/maintenance and decipher
the tools available to enable practitioners to calculate them. The
conference will showcase a report on the findings of the IHT's own study
into Sustainable Transport..
