In conjunction with this exhibition, there will be a study morning based
on our community’s experience of developing our therapeutic community
practice, and how this has affected the role of art therapy.

10.00: Arrival – Tea/ Coffee and a chance to look at the exhibition
10.30: “Becoming a therapeutic community” - presentation by group
members and art therapist from St Andrews Group Programme in York
talking about the experience of a year of change and the impact this has
had on the art therapy practice in our community
11.30: “Putting the exhibition together”- a reflection on how this
project was carried out as part of our therapeutic community programme –
a chance to discuss the need to present the work we do to the outside world
12.00: Lunch and a chance for networking and further discussion
This is a free event for art therapists. It is funded partly by the
special interest group /Art Therapists in Therapeutic Communities/, and
partly by the St Andrews exhibition fund. There are limited places, so
we ask that you book early.
