Some of us become old, some are born old, and others have age thrust
upon us.
All of the above?
I was cleaning out my office here because of the filth and dander and
found several documents relating to my parents. My parents' marriage
certificate from 1934; a letter to my mother from the police chief of
the town where my father died, inventorying what was in his pockets. My
mother's death certificate (1992). Eerie stuff. I know I saw his
discharge papers from the Marines many years ago but have no idea where
they've gone.
Found or unfounded poetry, perhaps.
