A postdoctoral position is available in the Biocomputing Group of Prof.
Christof Schütte at the Free University of Berlin, Germany. The theoretical
research will be on conformational dynamics of small peptides and its
relation with (stationary or transient) vibrational spectroscopy. The
candidate is expected to have in-depth experience with standard program
packages for electronic structure calculations and vibrational analysis.
Furthermore, a strong interest in developing and implementing novel
algorithms for the analysis of conformational structure and dynamics is
required. We offer a stimulating scientific environment in a dynamic work
group, outstanding computer infrastructure and close cooperation with
experimental groups at the Fritz-Haber institute. The project is funded by
the German Science Foundation (DFG) through program SFB 450.
The Free University seeks to increase the number of female employees in
research and teaching and thus in particular invites qualified female
scientists to apply for this vacant position. Physically handicapped persons
will be preferred, if they are equally qualified.
The position is available for Nov 1st, and the appointment will be for 20
months. Applications should be submitted before Oct 10th electronically as a
single file in PDF format to [log in to unmask]
