We have vacancies for two Senior Learning Technology Support Officers at
UCL. The remit of the posts is to promote and support the development
and use of learning technologies (including Moodle) at UCL. The posts
are responsible for coordinating and delivering e-learning support and
development for a group of faculties, and for the day-to-day service
management of specific central e-learning services.
Faculty responsibilities include outreach and promotion of e-learning,
providing advice, consultancy and practical assistance, developing and
delivering training and e-learning support, running awaydays and other
events, promoting inter- and intra-faculty networking, and reporting on
faculty developments and issues to Corporate Support Divisions.
Central responsibilities include day-to-day management of a one or more
e-learning services (VLE, wiki, podcasting), which includes developing
service definitions, running the 2nd line support desk, monitoring
service levels, carrying out service evaluations and supervising junior
support staff.
It is estimated that someone at this level and with the attached
responsibilities would be expected to have three years of professional
experience in e-learning, ideally within a large higher education
institution.
Salary will be in the range £37,442 – £41,545 (inclusive of London
Allowance). The appointment is on an open-ended basis.
