Colin
We spoke earlier today. Apologies for the delay in getting back to you -- it has been a very busy day today; and I shall be out of the office for the rest of this week.
There is some more information about the role of the National Audit Office on our website at www.nao.org.uk.
In particular, there is a summary of the scope of our study of autism at http://www.nao.org.uk/publications/workinprogress/adult_autism.htm.
As I mentioned, we are setting up a web-forum for people with autism, and their carers, to contribute to the study if they wish, and I'll let you have details of this when it is up and running. (We're also seeking views through other methods, e.g. facilitated interviews, with support, for people without speech.)
As I say, I'll be out of the office for the next few days, but may be able to pick up emails. I'll be back next Monday, however, and certainly able to receive emaiuls then.
Kind regards
Alex Scharaschkin
