Hi Ladies

Please see below the invite to our next event which is taking place in a
couple of week's time - it would be great to see you there!

womenintechnology and UBS would like to invite you to an evening
event on
Wednesday 10th September 2008 at 6.45pm.

"Do you need to be a manager to be a leader?" will be held in the
exciting
venue of the Tate Modern. The event will be taking place in the Realism
Gallery, Level 3, Tate Modern, Bankside, London SE1 9TG.

Our speaker for the evening will be Michele Duke - Managing Director of
Management Tomorrow - www.management-tomorrow.co.uk. Michele's expertise
in the IT industry and board-level experience, together with her
coaching
skills and talent for facilitating personal development give her a great
understanding of the challenges facing both leaders and women working in
technology.

Many people believe leadership is only important for those already in a
position of authority but in knowledge-based environments where
innovation, flexibility and the ability to self-manage is paramount,
leadership is becoming more fluid and it is not only senior staff who
are
expected to lead. This seminar will encourage you to consider how you
lead
on a daily basis, whether or not you are a formal "leader". Michele will
draw on recent studies which identify the thinking patterns of highly
effective leaders and share her thoughts on how to develop these
skills to
make you more effective whatever your position in the company.

Michele?s presentation will be followed by an opportunity to
network over
drinks and canapés with female IT professionals from UBS in the
beautiful
surroundings of the Tate Modern.

We hope you would like to join us on Wednesday 10th September. The event
is free to attend and as we anticipate a high demand for a limited
number
of places, please sign up early to avoid disappointment - many thanks!

Please go to www.womenintechnology.co.uk/managerleader for further
information and to reserve your place!

Best wishes
